I started to use the latest version of MAIL.DLL but mails aren't been received. I tested to send to my hotmail account and there the mail is marked as spam.
Can you possible give me direction what i'm doing wrong? Or can do better?

thanks in advance! Wk

There is no way we can say why this message was marked as spam - there are simply too many factors.

There are hundreds of spam filters, most of them are self tough, so even filters from the same vendor can behave differently depending on the emails that were received earlier.

You should implement SPF on your server, use DKIM, make sure you are using TLS when sending, and don't send spam obviously.

I find it very strange now,
When i create a message using version 3.0.16280.1013 of mail.dll and send it won't be marked as spam.
But when i'm using version 3.0.18141.1056 then the mail is marked as spam.
There must be any difference somewhere.
What is the difference between those 2 generated messages?
none.
because i'm testing I use the same script
Because we're using FoxPro as database / and userUI we developed a wrapper around the Mail.DLL
so the only part i've to change is the registration and license info.
Script contains:
      from XXim@alfapro.com
      reply XXes@alfapro.com
      to: XXmk_on@hotmail.com
      subject: Uw bestelling 3
      body text: Hello ... Goodbey 5

SMTP server used: mail.bivas.nl

Creation in short C#:
IMail _email
MailBuilder _message
...
_email = _message.Create();
byte[] byteArr = _email.Render(AddressHeaderRenderMode.Full);

Below you see the byteArr, which is used

Content-Type: text/plain;
 charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
MIME-Version: 1.0

Hello ... Goodbey 5
My question was rather about the messages itself. Do you have both emls - is there any difference?
-or- do you maybe have logs from both SMTP sessions?
i' ll try to get the message contents our internal spam folder from our system manager  so i can compare the differrences
It would be good to have the message content _before_ it is send to SMTP server or have the SMTP logs:
https://www.limilabs.com/blog/logging-in-mail-dll

This way you's know what (if anything) changed in how the email is generated.

Also are you sure that in both cases you send using the same port?
