Using OAuth for Gmail over IMAP for service account - Domain wide delegation

We are trying to use "OAuth 2.0 with Gmail over IMAP for service account"

However the instructions says to allow for Domain wide delegation.

Is there a second method that would allow us to authenticate to specific GMAIL email address using service account without allowing Domain wide authentication?

I don't think Google provides such access granularity.
