Impact of new Gmail OAuth verification requirements

Hello, Google recently released new restrictions on the access of APIs that access Gmail and some other data.

Does that also impact clients that only access email through IMAP and SMTP?

When using OAuth2, Gmail and Mail.dll you need 2 scopes:

• https://mail.google.com/ - IMAP, SMTP access
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email - Get email address call

The first one is on the 'restricted API scopes' list, so as far as I understand if you are using OAuth2 you are affected.
